Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotes, installations, and services provided by Googong Home Security ABN 25034791052 (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accepting our quote or engaging our services, you agree to the following:

1. Scope of Works

All work will be carried out as described in the approved quote. Any additional work requested by the customer outside the quoted scope (e.g., extra cabling, relocation of equipment, additional hardware) may incur additional charges, which will be discussed and approved by you prior to being carried out.

2. Products & Equipment

We supply reputable CCTV, alarm, and security system equipment. All products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Any equipment supplied by us remains our property until full payment is received.

If the customer chooses to supply their own equipment, we cannot guarantee performance, compatibility, or warranty outcomes.

3. Installation

Installations will be completed in a professional manner and in line with industry standards.

We will:

  • Take reasonable care to avoid damage to property
  • Work neatly and safely
  • Provide a walk-through of installed systems upon completion

We are not responsible for pre-existing issues such as restrictive wall cavities, electrical faults, weak Wi-Fi coverage, or other site conditions that limit installation options.

4. Access to the Property

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to all areas required for installation. If access is delayed or unavailable, additional charges may apply for reattendance.

5. Payment Terms

Our goal is to keep payment simple and fair.

  • No deposit required unless stated otherwise.
  • Invoices are due within 7 days of completion of the work.
  • Payments may be made via bank transfer or other methods listed on the invoice.
  • Overdue invoices may be subject to reasonable late fees or recovery costs if required.

We will always work with customers experiencing genuine payment difficulties—just reach out and let us know.

6. Warranty & Support

  • Installation workmanship warranty: 12 months from the installation date.
  • Manufacturer warranty: As per individual product specifications.
  • Faults caused by misuse, tampering, power surges, network/internet issues, or third-party interference are not covered by warranty, but we will happily assist with a repair quote.

7. Internet & Network Requirements

Many CCTV and alarm systems rely on your home network for full functionality. We will connect equipment to your network at the time of installation, but we cannot guarantee ongoing performance if:

  • Your internet service is unreliable
  • The modem/router is replaced or reset
  • Network settings are changed
  • Wi-Fi coverage is insufficient

We can assist with network troubleshooting on request.

8. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand plans change. You may reschedule or cancel at any time prior to the day of installation with no fee. For same-day cancellations where we have already attended or travelled, a small call-out fee may apply.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Loss of recorded footage
  • Loss arising from system failure, internet issues, or power outages
  • Indirect or consequential loss Our liability is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding the applicable portion of the work.

10. Privacy

Any footage, data, or system access shared with us during installation or support is treated as confidential and is not stored or used for any purpose other than setup or troubleshooting.

11. Acceptance of Terms

By accepting the quote or proceeding with the installation, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
